About This Trip
Colorado has 58 peaks above 14,000 feet. The Mosquito Range near Breckenridge offers three of the most accessible: Democrat, Lincoln, and Cameron, all doable in a single day from the Kite Lake trailhead at 12,000 ft.
Highlights
- Mt. Democrat (14,155 ft), gentlest of the group
- Mt. Lincoln (14,286 ft), classic Colorado summit views
- Mt. Cameron (14,238 ft), connecting ridge walk
- Above-treeline alpine scenery for most of the hike
- Historic mining ruins at Kite Lake

Recovery + Breckenridge Main Street
- Breckenridge Riverwalk bike path, flat, easy, 4 miles
