The trips I've personally done are marked, too.
Weekend Adventure Travel covers 16 trips across the country. I haven't personally hiked, paddled, or driven every one of them, but every one is checked against current permits, hours, seasonal closures, drive times, reservation lead times, and bailout routes before it's published, and re-checked on a regular cadence after that.

What's required for the route, current application windows, and how to actually get one in time.
Operating hours
Trailheads, visitor centers, shuttles, and rental shops, checked against current-season hours.
Seasonal closures
Roads, trails, and campgrounds that close for weather, wildlife, or maintenance.
Drive times
Real point-to-point drive times between stops, not straight-line estimates.
Reservation lead times
Campgrounds, huts, and permits that book out early enough to matter.
Bailout routes
A real exit plan for each day if weather, injury, or conditions force a change.

What's the difference between Field-Tested and Verified?
Field-Tested means I've personally done that exact trip. Verified means every claim in the itinerary (permits, hours, closures, drive times) has been checked against current sources, whether or not I've done it myself. Every trip on the site is Verified; only some are also Field-Tested.
How often are trips re-checked?
Before each trip's season opens, or sooner if I hear something's changed: a permit rule, a closure, a fee increase.
Do you personally do every trip on the site?
No. The site covers 16 trips across the country and I haven't personally done all of them. The ones I have are marked Field-Tested; every trip, regardless, is checked against current official sources before publishing.
What happens if a permit rule changes after a trip is published?
That's exactly what the re-verification cadence is for. Trips get re-checked before their season opens, and updated if something changed since the last check.
Where does the verification information come from?
National and state park service sites, recreation.gov and equivalent booking systems, local outfitter and land-manager sites, and direct route knowledge for Field-Tested trips.
